The Road Traffic Licensing Regulations

The Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO), as they are currently offered on the market, are now mainly limited to EC directives. However, these are mandatory. In 2016, the Federal Government decided on a “new version” but has not yet launched it. It is now planned to release this “new version” for publication in 2020. Here, as elsewhere, no stone will be left unturned.

The Federal Association will make the “new version” available in digital form in its “Cloud” for all members of the GAGT e.V. on the same day after it comes into force.

Motor vehicle businesses and others, as members of the GAGT e.V., no longer need to keep the Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO) in their businesses, which of course was and is associated with external costs. Furthermore, the StVZO is always available on a daily basis. Motor vehicle businesses in particular are dependent on up-to-date information, as sovereign tasks are naturally also part of their area of activity and must be taken into account naturally.

The GAGT e.V. now urges the Federal Government to fulfil its duty to provide information within the framework of the StVZO. Especially in order to be able to pass on better information to customers on the subject of “climate change”. The further development in the area of exhaust emission tests on vehicles according to § 47 StVZO can be mentioned here as an example and much more. The further development of the StVZO must also be at the top of the agenda for 2020.
